MALIBU, California – The Pepperdine women's track team opens the indoor season this weekend at the BYU Indoor Invite in Provo, Utah. The Waves did not compete in any indoor meets last season.
MEET DETAILS
The meet will be hosted by BYU at the Smith Fieldhouse in Provo, Utah, on Saturday January 15. Racing will begin at 9 a.m. PT.
WOMEN'S ROSTER
Junior Skyler Danley (Easton, Pa./Easton Area HS) was one of Waves' top runners in the 2020 season and is expected to be a top runner again. She had the best performance in the 3,000 and the 5,000, setting both indoor school records. She ran the indoor 3,000 in a time of 10:39.88 and the indoor 5,000 in a time of 18:29.7. Danley has marked her name on the Waves' all-time outdoor performance list for the 3,000 at sixth and for the 5,000 at ninth.
Additional key returners are senior Tiffany Egbo (Gilbert, Ariz./Highland HS) who had the team's fastest time in 2020 in the indoor 400 and 600 and senior
Alexa Ortega (Chatsworth, Calif./St. Genevieve HS) who was third in the indoor 60 meters. Junior
Olivia Miller (Tallahassee, Fla./Lawton Chiles HS) was second on the team in 2020 in the indoor 800 with a time of 2:28.73.
