MADISON, Wisconsin – The Pepperdine women's golf team is in seventh place after Sunday's first round at the Badger Invitational.

The Waves shot an opening-round 298 at the par-72 University Ridge Golf Course.

PLAYER SCORES

Sophomore Kaleiya Romero (San Jose, Calif.) is tied for 20th place after a 74. She had birdies on holes 13 and 16.
Sophomore Lion Higo (Gold Coast, Australia) is also tied for 20th at 74. She birdied holes 9 and 16.
Freshman Lauren Gomez (Murrieta, Calif.) is tied for 25th after a 75. She birdied holes 2 and 4.
Graduate student Megan Dennis (Bedfordshire, United Kingdom) is also tied for 25th after a 75. Her birdies came on holes 2 and 8.
Freshman Milla Sagel (Bielefeld, Germany) is tied for 55th after a 79. She had one birdie today.

UP NEXT

In Monday's second round, the Waves will be paired with Notre Dame and Colorado State and they'll start on the 10th tee beginning at 9 a.m. CT / 7 a.m. PT.
