#5 Waves Head to Westwood for Series Finale with #9 UCLA

MALIBU, Calif. -Â The fifth-ranked Pepperdine women's tennis team will head to Westwood on Wednesday to take on #9 UCLA for the third and final time this season.

SCOUTING THE BRUINS
The ninth-ranked Bruins will invite the Waves to Westwood Wednesday on a 15-3 record after going undefeated in Pac 12 play and earning the regular-season conference championship. UCLA's three losses have come by the hands of powerhouses Texas and Cal, as well as a 4-3 loss to the Waves back in March.

Ranked for the Bruins are players Abbey Forbes at #11, Elysia Bolton at #113 and Jada Hart tied at #121. The doubles team of Forbes and Hart is currently ranked at #79.

After another 2-0 weekend in WCC play, the #5 Waves will ready themselves for their series finale against the Bruins on Wednesday after splitting the first two matches with UCLA.

The first resulted in a 4-3 Waves' loss in the ITA Indoors in February, but Pepperdine righted their wrongs against the Bruins in a Malibu matchup on March 12. Jessica Failla saved the day and earned the tie-breaking clinch point on court two, putting the final score at 4-3.

During last week's matches, Pepperdine went 6-1 over Saint Mary's and 7-0 over Pacific, seeing no dropped singles points yet in conference play.

STREAKING WAVES
#115 Taisiya Pachkaleva leads the Waves in the streaking column as she is currently on a 14-match winning run. Her last loss came back in February against Georgia Tech in the ITA Indoors.

Sophomore Lisa Zaar just won 12th-straight match on Sunday, where her last loss was around the same time a Pachkaleva's in the ITA Indoors.

Winning nine of her last 10 is Shiori Fukuda who clinched the match against Saint Mary's, going 6-3, 6-2 on court three.
