Dyer Leads Men's Volleyball All-MPSF Selections

MALIBU, California – Noah Dyer, a senior on the Pepperdine men's volleyball team, received All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation first team honors today. He was one of four Waves recognized by the MPSF, which handed out its postseason awards despite the season being cut short.
Additionally, junior middle blocker Austin Wilmot made the All-MPSF second team, and setter Joe Karlous and libero Diego Perez both made the MPSF All-Freshman squad.
Dyer (San Clemente, Calif./Saddleback Christian HS) led the Waves in both points per set (3.44) and kills per set (2.84). He ranked ninth and 10th in the MPSF in those two categories, respectively. He was also ninth in service aces per set (0.29). He also averaged 1.18 digs and 0.59 blocks.
Wilmot (Valley Village, Calif./UC Irvine), who was in his first season with the Waves after transferring in, ranked fourth in the MPSF in blocks (1.12) and sixth in hitting percentage (.405). He also averaged 1.90 kills.
Karlous (Costa Mesa, Calif./Newport Harbor HS) began the year sharing time at setter and then took over the starting position partway through. He averaged 7.42 assists, good for fourth in the MPSF, and 1.16 digs.
Perez (Irvine, Calif./Orange Coast College), a redshirt freshman, started every match at libero and averaged a team-best 1.96 digs, which ranked fourth in the MPSF.
Pepperdine ended the shortened season ranked #8 by the AVCA and with records of 8-6 overall and 3-2 in the MPSF.
