Women's Track Heads to Nike Boise Indoor Invite

MALIBU, California – The Pepperdine women's track team travels to Boise, Idaho to continue its indoor season at the Jackson's/Nike Boise Indoor Invite on Friday and Saturday.
MEET DETAILS
The race will be hosted by Boise State University in Nampa, Idaho on Friday (Feb. 7) and Saturday (Feb. 8). Racing will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday. Live stats will be available at http://www.snakerivertiming.com/track-xc-results.html.
WOMEN'S TEAM
Last weekend, the women's team opened its indoor season at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invite in New Mexico.

Skyler Danley (Easton, Pa./Easton Area HS) was the top performer in the 3,000 meters, posting a best time by over 10 seconds with a 10:46.27, which was good for eighth place. Â Caila Tongco (Kent, Wash./Kent-Meridian HS) ran a 8.97 in the 60-meter hurdles, was just one, one hundredth off of her school record and taking third place. Tongco also had the team's top time in the 200 meters (26.55).

Sophomore Tiffany Egbo (Gilbert, Ariz./Highland HS) had the team's best performance in the 600 meters, as did senior Katie O'Malley (Dougherty Valley HS/San Ramon, Calif.) in the long jump, sophomore Keeley Maloney (Greensburg Central Catholic HS/Fayette City, PA.) in the 60, freshman Olivia Miller (Lawton Chiles HS/Tallahassee, Fla.) in the 800 and senior Cori Persinger (Lee's Summit West HS/Bainbridge Island Wash.) in the mile.
QUOTABLE
Head coach Sylvia Mosqueda says: " Our athletes ready for the Boise Indoor meet. We are excited to see what these girls do on Friday and Saturday. Each race that these young ladies have is a building block for the next one. We have girls trying new events and some running their best races so this should be a great meet for all the ladies."
