Pepperdine Heads to Boise For Final Indoor Meet

MALIBU, California – The Pepperdine women's indoor track team is set to compete at the Boise State Challenge this Saturday in Idaho. This will be the final indoor track meet of the season.

MEET DETAILS
The race will be hosted by Boise State University in Nampa, Idaho on Saturday (Feb. 15). Competition will begin at 10 a.m. MST on Saturday. Live stats will be available at http://www.snakerivertiming.com/track-xc-results.html
WOMEN'S TEAM
Last weekend, the women's team competed in the Nike Indoor Invite at Boise State.

Freshman Skyler Danley (Easton, Pa./Easton Area HS) highlighted the meet by setting a new school record in the 5,000 meter run on Friday afternoon. Her time of 18:29.70, beat the previous record set by nearly 30 seconds.

Abbey Meck (Santa Cruz, Calif./San Lorenzo Valley HS) was the leader for the Waves in the mile, running a 5:22.71, which earned her fourth place. Meck was followed closely by senior Cori Persinger (Lee's Summit West HS/Bainbridge Island Wash.) in fifth with a new personal record and Danley in eighth. Persinger was also Pepperdine's top performer in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:25.86.

Head coach Sylvia Mosqueda says: "We are going back to Boise for the last indoor race of 2020. I'm really excited to see these young ladies compete because they are looking really good. I'm looking forward to seeing some new personal records and possibly new school records being broken. After this, I am excited about our first outdoor meet at UCSB where the men's team will join us. We're looking for some great racing from the Pepperdine Waves!"
