MALIBU, Calif. – The 5-0 Pepperdine men's tennis team will look to continue their best start to a season since 2013 with road trips to Cal Poly and Fresno State this weekend.

ON THE MUSTANGS
Cal Poly currently stands 1-4 on the season, with their lone win coming over Grand Canyon at a score of 6-1. Among the Mustangs' losses sits Washington -a team who the Waves most recently defeated 5-2- St. John's, Fresno State and #25 Arizona.
ON THE BULLDOGS
Holding a 3-2 record, Fresno State has accrued wins over the likes of Temple, Cal Poly and UCSB while dropping to South Florida and #24 and fellow West Coast Conference member San Diego. Against the Mustangs, Fresno State took a 4-3 win.
SURF REPORT
The Waves will enter the weekend off of a 5-2 dual win over Washington last Saturday that saw an
Enrique Luque Rico 6-2, 6-2 clinch point. Sophomore captain
Tim Zeitvogel has not seen a loss since April 25, 2019, where he finished the 2019 dual season winning 12-straight. He has continued the success this season, where he has yet to record a loss in the first five dual matches of the season, adding a win last weekend on court four.
Senior captain
Adrian Oetzbach has found his rhythm this season as well, going undefeated for the first five matches of the season including most recently a 6-1, 7-5 win on court one against Sacramento State, a 7-6, 6-2 win over UCSB on court two and a 6-2, 6-2 win on court three against Washington.
Sophomore
Daniel De Jonge became newly eligible this week after transferring to Pepperdine for the spring semester. In his Waves debut, De Jonge took his court one competition to three sets, where he fought his way through a tie-breaker in the first set going 7-6(4), 2-6 in the second and dropped the super tie-break 10-7.
