No. 25 Men's Tennis Sweeps Weekend Conference Matches at Pacific and Saint Mary's

STOCKTON, Calif. — The No. 25 Pepperdine men's tennis team started a run of seven consecutive West Coast Conference matches with a weekend sweep after defeating Pacific on Friday and Saint Mary's on Saturday.

With the victories, Pepperdine improved to 11-7 on the season and is 2-0 to begin WCC action this spring.

"Some ugly doubles this weekend, but we will get that corrected," said Director of Tennis/Head Coach Adam Schaechterle. "Saw huge improvement from Gustavo and David in their singles performances. They have been putting in the work. And proud of Robin for his first dual match win. We needed his court at Pacific and he delivered for the team."

Redshirt freshman Robin Boeckli stepped into the starting lineup and delivered a straight-set win at the No. 6 position, defeating Niv Zuckerman (6-3, 6-4).

Maxi Homberg put the finishing touches on the clinching point with a resounding three-set win over Terence Das (6-2, 2-6, 6-2).

Aleksa Pisaric had come back down one set to none to take the second before his match was abandoned while leading 1-0 in the third set.

On five, Hugh Winter's match was also abandoned while leading 2-0 in the third set.
