STOCKTON, Calif. - No. 25 Pepperdine men's tennis is preparing for two more road matches this weekend, beginning at Pacific tomorrow before visiting Saint Mary's on Saturday.
Â
Tomorrow's match against the Tigers marks the first of seven consecutive WCC matches before the Waves conclude the regular season on April 19 at UC Santa Barbara.
Â
The Waves are 16-3 all-time against Pacific, having taken five of the last six matches. The Tigers got the best of Pepperdine in April 2025, pulling out a narrow 4-3 victory. Pepperdine will seek to continue its WCC dominance, having gone 28-5 (.849) since the 2021-22 campaign. The Waves can look to the number 65-ranked doubles team of
Lasse Poertner and
Aleksa Pisaric to start that dominance. In that same timeframe, Pacific has recorded a 15-19 conference record (.441) but have rebounded from consecutive 2-7 seasons (2021-22 and 2022-23) to go 11-5 since, including a 1-0 start this season after defeating Portland 4-2 last Saturday. Fans can

Pepperdine will look to stay perfect against Saint Mary's on Saturday, having gone 31-0 against the Gaels. In four of the last five matches, the Waves have swept Saint Mary's. It's been a challenging season for the Gaels, dropping five of their last six. They played out the last two matches (at No. 56 Cal and at Nevada), falling 1-6 in each of them.
Â
Following the road trip, Pepperdine will return home for their first match at Ralph-Straus Tennis Center in almost two months, hosting Portland and Gonzaga in a doubleheader on April 5 starting at 10:00 am.
