CLAREMONT, Calif. – The #6 Pepperdine women's tennis team rolled through the semifinal round of the West Coast Conference tournament, going 4-1 over Loyola Marymount on Friday morning.
The win puts the #6 Waves at 20-3 overall and will send the team to the championship match on Saturday morning. It will be the 24
th time Pepperdine has played in the championship round, where they have only lost three times, taking the crown on 21 occasions.

RECAP
The Waves started out hot in doubles, as court three pair
Satsuki Takamura and
Anastasia Iamachkine took the first victory 6-3 over LMU's Juravlisova and Tumosa.
Adrijana Lekaj and
Dzina Milovanovic posted a 7-5 win over Andersen and Gabrielsen on court two after needing a tiebreaker to complete the match, putting Pepperdine up 1-0 overall.
In singles, Takamura struck fast and furious, winning 6-0, 6-2 one court six over Tumosa, followed by
Ashley Lahey, who defeated Miroshnichen 6-3, 6-4 at the #1 position to put the overall score at 3-0.
After lapses on courts two and four, Iamachkine needed an extra set but came to the rescue and beat LMU's De Lucas 6-4, 7-5 to clinch the match for Pepperdine, 4-1.
