QUOTABLE
"We are so appreciative of La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club for hosting a 5-star event," said head coach
Adam Schaechterle. "This tournament is a special experience for our guys and we are grateful to be invited.
"Mati and Enrique started the season as a couple of very strong singles players without much of an idea in doubles. I'm so proud of their attitude - they've embraced our doubles structures even when it was uncomfortable for them. They have improved every match and are becoming one of the better doubles teams in the nation."
NEXT UP
The Waves continue in the tournament today, with Rico and Sborowitz taking on Mor Bullis and Bradley Frye in the quarterfinals at 1:30 PM.
