MALIBU, Calif. — Senior
Hannah Frohling of the Pepperdine women's volleyball team, garnered CoSIDA All-District 8 second team honors, as announced on Thursday afternoon by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Frohling, originally from Edmond, Okla., currently has a 3.94 grade point average while studying Sports Medicine at Pepperdine. She was one of 16 individuals in the district to achieve regional academic acclaim, along with fellow West Coast Conference competitors from BYU Kennedy Eschenberg, Mary Lake and Riley Lyman.

Frohling earned CoSIDA Academic All-District first team honors in 2017 and second team honors in 2018. She has also been a WCC All-Academic first teamer in 2017 and 2018, while picking up All-WCC first team honors in 2018 and honorable mention status in 2017.  She has been on the Pepperdine Dean's List in 2018 and has been a Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete all four years, while also picking up WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll 'gold honors' all four years.Â

The outside hitter has been just as successful on the court this season, amassing 2.93 kills/set on a .217 success rate. She has plastered 24 aces down on opposing teams for a 0.36 aces/set percentage. She also adds 1.61 digs/set and 0.43 blocks/set this season.Â

The CoSIDA Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. First team honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be announced in December.Â
