In her standard fashion, #54 Evgeniya Levashova made quick work of her opponent, collecting her 16th-straight win with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Maria Toran Ribes on court four. #91 Laura Gulbe also tabbed her 16th-consecutive victory with a court five 6-1, 6-2 win over Tatiana Nikolaeva to put the Waves ahead for the first time in the match.
On court six, Dzina Milovanovic would put Pepperdine in a position to clinch after securing a 6-3, 6-2 win over Amber Policare.
With all top-three courts still in action, the match was still any teams to take. #17-ranked Ashley Lahey would do the honors, however, as she took down Janet Koch in a three-set battle 7-5, 3-6, 6-0 to clinch the overall dual for the Waves and send her team to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen match for the third straight season.
