CLAREMONT, Calif. " The 11th-ranked and top-seeded Pepperdine women's tennis team won its sixth-consecutive West Coast Conference Championship title with a 4-1 win over PCH Cup rivals and 3rd-seeded Loyola Marymount on Saturday afternoon at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center.
Dzina Milovanovic clinched the Waves' win with a two-set victory on court five, advancing Pepperdine's record to 22-2 overall this season. It is the 31st time in 33 seasons that the Waves have played in the title match and the 28th time Pepperdine has won the tournament since it began in 1986.

Although the Waves struck first in doubles as
Mayar Sherif and
Laura Gulbe downed Yesica De Lucas and Elvira Juravliova 6-2 on court three, the Lions rallied to win on courts one and two to head into singles with the 1-0 advantage.
Pepperdine came out of the break stronger than the opposition, collecting first set wins on all but one court. No. 52-ranked WCC Freshman of the Year Evgeniya Levashova finished her match first after dominating Siobhan Anderson 6-1, 6-3 on court three to tie things up. Then Adrijana Lekaj bested Anna Romeka with a pair of 6-1 set wins on six to give Pepperdine the team's first lead of the day.
No. 18 Ashley Lahey put the Waves one-point away from the clinch after she downed No. 45 Veronica Miroshnichenko 6-4, 6-4 on court one. Dzina Milovanovic clinched both matches this weekend for Pepperdine, earning the Waves' the crown with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Elvira Juravliova on court five to close the day with the 4-1 Waves' win.
