MALIBU, Calif. -- The 6th-ranked Pepperdine women's tennis team rolled through UC Santa Barbara with an uncontested 7-0 sweep at Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center on Friday afternoon, dominating doubles to open the day and finishing with two-set wins on all singles courts.
After going ahead 1-0 with the doubles clinch, the Waves (3-0) crushed the singles opposition with quick 6-1 first set wins over the Gauchos (2-3) on five courts. Pepperdine continued by sweeping the opposition in two-sets on all courts en route to the dual victory.

Pepperdine opened doubles action with a quick 6-1 win deliverd by
Dzina Milovanovic and
Evgeniya Levashova over Amanda Atanasson and Stephanie Yamada on court two. The Waves continued to pound down early as
Luisa Stefani and
Mayar Sherif clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 victory on court one over Palina Dubavets and Natalie Da Silveira.
Ashley Lahey and
Adrijana Lekaj were also leading 5-3 on court three over their opponents, but their match went unfinished due to the doubles clinch.
In singles, Stefani, Lahey, Sherif, Gulbe and Levashova each won their first sets 6-1 to open the action. Stefani finished her match first with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Dubavets in the number one position and Sherif was close behind with a pair of 6-1 wins on court three over Atanasson to put the Waves in a position to clinch.
Lahey was the Wave to clinch on court two after besting Da Silveira with a 6-1, 6-3 final mark. As the coaches elected to finish all the matches prior to the start, all unfinished matches were played to completion.
Levashova was the next to finish with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Sentenac on court six and Gulbe downed Yamada on four with a 6-1, 6-3 win of her own. Milovanovic battled back from a 3-0 deficit in her first set to win with a 7-6 (7-2) tiebreak, and continued in the second set en route to a 6-3 win over Lev Ari to complete the 7-0 sweep.

- The Waves have four ranked in the Oracle/ITA singles rankings, #28 Ashley Lahey, #31 Mayar Sherif, #44 Dzina Milovanovic and #57 Laura Gulbe.
- Pepperdine has yet to lose a single match in singles or doubles throughout the dual season, going 12-0 and singles and 6-0 in doubles in the past three matches.
- Evgeniya Levashova leads the Waves with three singles wins this season, the only player to have finished all her matches thus far.
- Stefani and Sherif are the only doubles duo to have won all three of their matches played as well.
