The Waves are atop the WCC table with 10 points, though the four teams with nine points (BYU, Gonzaga, Portland and Santa Clara) all have a game in hand.

And although the Cougars equalized in the 77th minute, Isabel Nelson headed in a corner kick less than a minute later to give Pepperdine a 2-1 home win. Christina Settles had the primary assist on both goals and Brielle Preece made a career-high 10 saves.

Brielle Preece is third in the WCC at 0.46 shutouts per game ... In the WCC team rankings, Pepperdine is tied for first in shutouts (seven) and third in goals-against average (0.99) ... The Waves are 7-1-1 in the last nine games and have only given up three goals in that time ... Twelve players have missed at least one game due to injury, eight of which have started a game this season ... Pepperdine has had nine players make their first career starts, and 10 of the 27 players that have seen action have been true freshmen or redshirt freshmen.
TICKETS — Single-game tickets at Tari Frahm Rokus Field cost $10 each for adults and $8 each for children under 12, seniors 65+ and alumni/Crest members. Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $5 each.
