
Robinson-Bacote Leads Waves Past Idaho State, 80-74

MALIBU, Calif. - The Pepperdine women's basketball team got a career day from Yasmine Robinson-Bacote as the junior forward scored a career-high 34 points to lead the Waves past previously unbeaten Idaho State, 80-74.
Robinson-Bacote also matched her career high with 16 rebounds, giving the reigning West Coast Conference Player of the Week her third straight double-double. Pepperdine improves to 3-2 with the win, while the Bengals drops to 4-1. Four Waves scored in double-figures in the game as Pepperdine came back from a first-half deficit to pick up the win.

The Waves jumped out to an early 10-6 lead in the first quarter, but Idaho State answered with an 11-0 run to take a 17-10 advantage. A late three by Mia Satie cut it to a 17-15 game going into the quarter break. The teams would trade baskets through most of the second quarter, with Idaho State going up by as much as eight and the Waves cutting it to a two-point game late. The Bengals would take a 36-31 lead into the half.
Pepperdine came out firing in the second half, outscoring Idaho State 30-19 in the quarter to take a 61-55 lead into the fourth. The Waves went on a 6-1 run to start the third quarter and take the lead, then extended their advantage with an 8-2 run to close the quarter. Fecske opened the fourth with a three and Pepperdine would never give up the lead. Idaho State would cut it to a five-point game three times in the fourth, but never got any closer.

Pepperdine has a break for the Thanksgiving holiday and will resume action on Nov. 30 at UC Irvine. The Waves are back home on Dec. 2 against Utah Valley.
