Pepperdine LogoTHANK YOU SENIORS
The Pepperdine women's volleyball program would like to show their gratitude to two seniors who are nearing the end of their indoor careers as Waves. Throughout their careers, these players have continued the Waves' tradition of success, lifting Pepperdine to 46 wins in three years.

First, Ashley Harris has been with the Waves for two seasons, making a tremendous impact on and off the court. While representing the blue and orange, she has played in 179 sets and 51 matches, collecting 294 kills and 1.62 kills/set. She has also marked 138 total blocks to average 0.77 blocks/set. She is a Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete that will graduate in April with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.

Now, Adria Johnson has been with the Waves for three seasons. In 56 sets played and 34 total matches, she has been the first Wave off the bench for serve support and amassed five aces and 95 total service attempts for a .936 serve percentage. Her 3.52 grade point average helped her to Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete status and WCC Commissioner's

The Waves broke out to a commanding lead to open the first set, pulling ahead 7-1 with smashes from Frohling and O'Harra. The Waves continued to pound down with kills from Gross and Frohling and blocks from Gross, Sato, Frohling and O'Harra en route to a big 21-9 advantage. Late in the set, a O'Harra and Frohling block collaboration followed by a Lions' attack error put the home team at a 1-0 advantage with the 25-14 set win.

The roles were reversed in the second set as LMU pulled ahead to a 10-3 lead early on. After an attempt to close the gap, the Lions evened up the match 1-1 with a 25-15 second set win.

The Lions pulled ahead in set three, but the Waves stayed close behind through the 8-10 mark. Pepperdine was unable close the gap completely, however, and LMU earned the 25-20 set win for a 2-1 lead heading into the fourth.

Loyola Marymount came out strong in the fourth set intent on shutting the match down. The Waves attempted to close the gap, but the Lions were fueled by the momentum and secured a 25-14 set win for the 3-1 WCC victory.
