Soccer America All-American Teams
MALIBU, Calif. - Pepperdine's Lynn Williams picked up her second All-American award this week as she was named to Soccer America's first team.
The Waves' senior forward became the first player in program history to pick up first-team honors last week when she was named to the NSCAA All-American team.
Williams (Fresno, Calif./Bullard HS) led the Waves offensively this season scoring a team-best 14 goals and posting 10 assists. Her 14 scores are tied for the second most in Pepperdine history and her 10 helpers matched a Pepperdine single-season record. Williams also matched a Pepperdine record with five game-winning goals and set a single-season record with 130 shots. Her 38 total points were 17th in the country and were second in both the conference and in Pepperdine history.
Williams finished her career with 39 goals (second all-time), 24 assists (tied for first all-time), 102 points (second all-time), 15 game-winning goals (first all-time) and 398 shots (first all-time).
She is the second Pepperdine women's soccer player to pick up Soccer America All-American honors, with Ashley Swanson also being named to the second team in 2001. Williams was a Soccer America Freshman All-American in 2011 as well.
The Waves' leading scorer was named WCC Player of the Week three times and took home her third All-WCC first team honor this year. Williams has earned NSCAA All-West Region honors each of her four seasons at Pepperdine, snagging her third-straight first-team award this season. She is also a semifinalist for the prestigious MAC Hermann award, given to the top collegiate soccer player each year.
