Women’s Soccer’s Julia Quinonez Wins Co-Offensive Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Pepperdine women's soccer's (1-0-1) Julia Quinonez secures the first weekly award from the West Coast Conference, announced Monday afternoon.
Scoring three goals in two matches, Quinonez earned a co-offensive player of the week along with Santa Clara's Kennedy Schoennauer, who also scored three times in two matches, including the third being a penalty kick in a Sunday afternoon draw.
The Torrance, Calif. native has scored three of the Waves' four goals so far this season, averaging 67 minutes of play per match. With 22 career goals, Quinonez is just one goal away from cracking the top-10 for all-time goals scored in Pepperdine program history. This is Quinonez's fifth weekly WCC award in her time as a Wave.
Next up, the Waves welcome the Golden Bears of Cal, Berkeley to Malibu. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon. As the first match The game will be streamed on ESPN+ (subscription required) and live stats can be found at www.pepperdinewaves.com.
