Crider, Riecks Named AVCA All-Americans

Crider (Granite Bay, Calif,/Granite Bay HS) leads the nation in assists at 14.05 per game, and helped Pepperdine to a team hitting percentage of .334, which ranks third in the country. He also averaged 1.66 digs and 0.70 blocks. This is his second All-American honor, but first by the AVCA. He made Volleyball Magazine's second team in 2009.
Riecks (Auburn, Calif./Placer HS) averaged a team-high 3.89 kills (30th in the nation) while hitting .381 (16th in the nation). This is his first AVCA postseason honor. He was named the AVCA/Sports Imports National Player of the Week on February 22.
This marks the 14th consecutive season that Pepperdine has had multiple All-Americans.
Last week, Riecks was named to the All-MPSF first team and Crider made the second team.
Pepperdine's season ended last weekend with a loss in the MPSF Tournament's first round at Hawaii. The Waves finished 16-10 overall and tied for fourth place in the MPSF at 14-8.
