As a senior setter in 2008, Winder was named an AVCA All-American for the fourth time and made the first team for the second straight year. He was named MPSF Tournament MVP as Pepperdine made a somewhat unexpected run to the title, and then earned a spot on the NCAA Championships all-tournament team after helping the Waves to a second-place national finish.

Winder’s honor comes in the at-large sport category, which includes the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, tennis, volleyball, water polo and wrestling.
