Carroll Earns AVCA Player of the Week Honors

The Bruins defeated the Waves twice in the regular season, but both times Pepperdine was without Carroll, a junior opposite, who was out with a hand injury. He made quite a difference on Saturday with a match-high 29 kills to go with 11 digs, five blocks and four service aces. It was his first double-double of the season as the Waves posted a 30-27, 20-30, 30-21, 30-28 victory at Pauley Pavilion.
It was Carroll’s seventh straight match with at least 20 kills, and his 11th time in the last 12 matches. He leads the nation with 6.54 kills per game.
Pepperdine (14-10) was the only road team/lower-seeded team to win a match during the first week of the MPSF Tournament. The Waves next play at top-seeded
