Fullerton, Calif. - Senior Chad Trammell turned in an impressive performance in his 2005 debut for the Pepperdine men's cross country team as he placed ninth in the Cal State Fullerton Invitational Saturday morning at Craig Regional Park in Fullerton.

In his first showing since missing most of the 2004 season with an injury, Trammell turned in a time of 26:37.60 to help the Waves to an 11th place showing in the eight-kilometer race.

Sophomore Lauren Morales led the Pepperdine women as she finished 29th with a time of 19:47.30 to help the Waves place 10th in the 24-team field.

Pepperdine returns to action on Saturday, September 10, when it travels to San Diego for the San Diego Invitational.
