Malibu, Calif. - After being named to the 2005 Soccer Buzz All-Regional West first team, senior forward Megan Woods was recognized nationally as she was named to the 2005 Soccer Buzz All-America third team, it was announced Thursday.

Woods, a resident of Carlsbad, Calif., totaled 34 points with 12 goals and 10 assists and concluded her Pepperdine career ranked second on the school's all-time lists in points (85) and goals (31) while tying for second in assists with 23. Woods ranked among the Top 10 in the West Coast Conference (WCC) in points, goals and assists.

In leading Pepperdine to its fifth consecutive NCAA appearance, Woods knocked in two goals in the second round, defeating Samford 2-0 and advanced the Waves to the `Sweet 16' for the second time in school history.

Last week, Woods was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Adidas All-American third team and is the first Wave to be recognized nationally by both Soccer Buzz and the NSCAA.
