The Waves returned to action last week after a week off when they took part in the Cal Poly Invitational at the Fairbanks Cross Country Course in San Luis Obispo.

This week's Titan Invitational marks Pepperdine's final competition before it travels to the Bay Area to compete in the West Coast Conference Championships on October 29. The WCC Championships will be run on the Crystal Springs Course in Belmont, California.
"Our whole season's preparation is geared toward the WCC Championships and it is always our goal to be competing at our highest level heading into the conference championships," head coach Dick Kampmann said.
Both the men's and women's teams will be looking to improve upon disappointing eighth and seventh place finishes, respectively, at last year's WCC Championships. Both teams were hit by injuries that affected their performances.
