Fred Winters Named Molten MPSF Player of the Week

Fourth-seeded Pepperdine had an easy time sweeping fifth-seeded CS Northridge in the first round of the MPSF Tournament last week thanks to the outstanding play of one athlete. Leading the Waves was outside hitter Fred Winters (North Vancouver, B.C.), who had a match-high 18 kills and hit .368 percent. He also had six aces, five digs and five blocks. For his efforts, the MPSF named him the Molten MPSF Player of the Week, officials announced today.
The Waves will take on Brigham Young University Thursday night at 6:00 p.m.
