Jennifer Brewer, a standout player during one of the best eras in the history of Pepperdine women[apos]s soccer, is beginning her seventh season as an assistant coach for the Waves in 2014. The Waves have posted a 68-38-14 (.625) record the past six seasons, including a WCC title in 2011 and back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in 2011 and 2012. Brewer played for the Waves from 2003-06 and appeared on three NCAA Tournament teams, including the Waves[apos] squad in 2005 that reached the Sweet 16. As a starting forward and a team captain, she had career totals of 13 goals and three assists for 29 points. She is featured in the Waves[apos] record books, as Brewer left the program tied for eighth all-time with 78 games played at Pepperdine, and she also tied a school record with her hat trick of three goals at San Jose State during the 2003 season. As a member of the Ajax America women[apos]s program, Brewer won a WPSL title in 2008 and reached the championship match two other years. She earned All-WPSL honors in 2009. Brewer has been a coach and counselor for the Malibu Soccer Academy the past six years. A native of La Mirada, Calif., Brewer played at La Mirada High School and for Slammers FC and was also a member of ODP regional and state teams. She has earned two degrees from Pepperdine: her bachelor[apos]s degree in business administration in 2007 and her MBA in 2010.
