PEPPERDINE 2019: Appeared in one set as a redshirt freshman ... Came in briefly vs. Grand Canyon (3/29) in his college debut.
 
PEPPERDINE 2018: Redshirted his first season.
 
CLUB: Played for Aspire Volleyball Club in 16s-18s and East Side Blaze from 15s-16s ... Helped AVC place second at Club Nationals for 17U, fifth for 16U and 20th for 18U during that time.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Perry High School, located in Gilbert, Ariz., in 2017 ... Also attended Queen Creek High School from 2013-16 ... Lettered four years ... In 35 sets played in his senior campaign, amassed 69 kills in 145 attempts with only 21 errors, as well as 14 aces, 29 blocks and 18 digs ... Named varsity team MVP in his junior and sophomore seasons for QCHS ... Helped Perry reach the state quarterfinals in 2017 ... An honor roll student who served on the student council for three years.

PERSONAL: Majoring in physics ... Son of Claire Tyler and Jim Tyler ... Has two younger twin siblings, Jake and Jordan.

Favorites include Ervin Ngapeth (pro athlete), Modena Volley in the Italian Volleyball League (pro team), The Great Gatsby (book), A Beautiful Mind (movie), Criminal Minds (TV show), Ed Sheeran (musical artist), pasta (food) and basketball (sport apart from volleyball) ... Favorite thing about volleyball is “the bond created by the cohesive environment needed to succeed in our sport. If you want even the smallest chance of winning, you have to have the bond with the guys around you.”
