Earned all-state first team honors all three years ... Was the 2019 4A Southern Nevada Player of the Year after accumulating 279 kills, 45 aces and 54 blocks ... PERSONAL: Majoring in psychology ... Born in Las Vegas, Nev. ... Son of Paul and Kathleen Solan ... His father was a swimmer and his mother played basketball at Bradley University ... Has two sisters, Kristen and Brooke ... Chose Pepperdine because of “the incredible coaching staff, highly decorated volleyball program, small campus and small class sizes. Overall there was no other university that could my criteria in a volleyball school like Pepperdine did.”
 
FAVORITES: Enjoys taking on new challenges and adventures, and playing video games ... Favorites include Victor Poletaev (pro athlete), Vegas Golden Knights (pro sports team), How to Win Friends and Influence People (book), Pulp Fiction (movie), Breaking Bad (TV show), Flume and RL Grime (musical artists), bonito tuna (food) and hockey (sport other than volleyball) ... Favorite things about volleyball are “the rush I get from big points, the escape that volleyball gives me from regular life and the level of unity that comes with being on a team.”
