OMAHA, Neb. - Pepperdine women's volleyball (3-0) is ready for the Bluejay Invitational, as the Waves will take on Tulsa, No. 10 Creighton, and Arizona this weekend.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN HURRICANES

Head Coach Lauren Ramatowski earned a contract extension that was announced on April 10.
Tulsa, like Pepperdine, has raced out to a 3-0 start following a clean sweep of the NMSU Volleyball Jamboree in Las Cruces, New Mexico last weekend.
The Golden Hurricanes ripped through New Mexico State (W 3-1), UTEP (W 3-2), and New Mexico (W 3-1).
Jill Hanson, who was named American Preseason Player of the Year, led the team with 38.5 points in the tournament, tying a team-high 29 kills alongside Maegan Mills.
Hanson also led Tulsa with 16 blocks in the tournament, one ahead of Emma Blaine.

RECAPPING THE ASICS CLASSIC

Pepperdine opened the 2026 campaign with a trio of home matches - the Asics Classic - against Villanova (W 3-0), South Dakota State (W 3-0), and Sacramento State (W 3-2).
Ella Piskorz, who won tournament MVP, led the Waves with 51.5 points after recording a team-best 4.29 kills per set in addition to 2.00 blocks per set.
Laine Briggs was outstanding defensively, tallying 2.83 digs per set at a 98.0 reception percentage.
Pepperdine spread the wealth on offense, as Chloe Pravednikov paced the squad with 39 kills, while Piskorz had 35, Maggie Beauer had 25, and newcomer Astrid Puig, who joined from WCC rival San Francisco, tacked on another 19.
