No. 21 Men's Golf Heads South for Ben Hogan Collegiate

FORT WORTH, Texas - Pepperdine men's golf is ready for its third tournament on the fall slate, the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational, presented by Charles Schwab.

The two day tournament will tee off with a shotgun start at 6:15 am pacific on Monday morning. Teams will compete with the first two rounds on Monday, followed by the final round of 18 on Tuesday. The tournament will take place at Colonial Country Club, spanning 7,289 yards and a par 70. The winner of the tournament will receive an exemption into the PGA Tour's Charles Schwab Challenge in 2027.

A total of 16 squads will battle at the tournament, including Pepperdine, Arizona State, Stanford, Texas Tech, Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma State, Alabama, UCLA, Vanderbilt, North Carolina, Auburn, Oklahoma, Virginia, TCU (the host institution), and Georgia Tech. The Waves will look to build off the momentum gained from the Fighting Illini Invitational last weekend, where the blue and orange shot 21-under as a team (tied for ninth out of 15). Senior Carson Kim landed two birdies in the third round to guide the Waves by carding seven-under, while freshman Ayden Fynaut registered five-under.

The Waves will have about two and a half weeks to prepare for the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational, which marks the last of four fall tournaments. The three-day Invitational will occur from Friday, October 16 through Sunday, October 18 in Alpharetta, Georgia.
