ALPHARETTA, Ga. - Pepperdine men's golf is through the opening round at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational, sitting in a tie for 7th out of 14 teams.

The Waves shot five-over as a squad, paced by Luke Ringkamp's four-under. He recorded five birdies and bogeyed just once, putting himself in a tie for 3rd on the individual leaderboard. His score of 68 is tied for the single-round low in his young collegiate career.

Ayden Fynaut registered two-under (70), tying for 16th overall. A brief trip-up on four, where he bogeyed, was outdone with a trio of birdies.

Willy Walsh snuck back in the top 25 on the individual leaderboard, sinking a birdie on 18 to tie for 24th overall. The senior had four birdies to score one-under (71) in the round.
