No. 27 Men's Tennis Readies to Face Michigan in First Round of NCAA Tournament

BATON ROUGE, La. - No. 27 Pepperdine men's tennis (17-9, 6-1 WCC) is preparing for its NCAA Tournament First Round matchup against No. 39 Michigan (13-10, 8-5 Big Ten), which is set for a 12 pm PT start on Friday to start the month of May.

The Waves are in their sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament, following the cancellation of the dance in 2020 due to the global pandemic, and have gone on to the second round in four of those six appearances, including last season when the blue and orange finished inside the top 25 of the ITA rankings. Pepperdine is making its 37th overall appearance in the big dance and boasts a strong record of 57-35.

Pepperdine is 7-2 overall (2-1 neutral) against Michigan but haven't seen the Wolverines since 2013, a 4-3 win in Malibu for the Waves. Pepperdine has won each of the last three matches against the maize and blue.
