
No. 9 Women's Golf Maintains Lead Through Two Rounds of WCC Championship

The Waves were the low team on the day for the second straight round at +3, moving to +1 for the tournament. Oregon State remains in second place at +14 through 36 holes as Santa Clara sits at +16 in third.
Eunseo Choi shot the low round of the day (-4) with a 68 to put herself into first place on the individual leaderboard. Choi has a three-stroke lead over Oregon State's Raya Nakao. Kylee Choi (E) and Grace Anderson (+2) also sit in the top-5 individually for the Waves.
The course played more difficult in Sunday's round compared to round one with increased wind, with the course average increasing to 76.05. Eunseo Choi was one of three players under par on the day, and the only player to shoot lower than 71.

"The wind was challenging at times today and everyone fought to the finish," noted head coach Laurie Gibbs. "The players will be ready for the final round tomorrow!"
Eunseo Choi paced the field with her 68 (-4) to move into the solo lead at -5 for the tournament. Choi logged six birdies on the day, including a stretch of three in five holes on the back nine to surge up the leaderboard. She posted a 34 on both the front and back nine, and is the lone player in the field to shoot under par in both rounds this week.
Kylee Choi shot a 74 (+2) to move to even par for the tournament, as she sits in solo third place. Choi carded her lone birdie of the day on the third hole, shooting an even-36 on the front nine, before getting in with her 74. Choi is the low freshman so far in the tournament.
Grace Anderson maintained her spot in the top-5 individually, shooting a 75 (+3) to move to +2 on the week. Anderson had a pair of birdies on the day, coming on holes nine and 15, as she was one of 21 on the day in the field to shoot a 75 or lower.
Yingzhi Zhu shot a 74 (+2) for the second straight round, putting her in a tie for 10th individually at +4. Zhu carded a 38 on the front nine, rebounding with a 36 on the back with birdies on 10 and 16.
Jeneath Wong sits in 19th individually, shooting a 76 (+4) Sunday to move to +6 for the tournament. Wong went even on the front with a birdie on four and bogey on nine, with a pair of double bogeys on the back to go with seven pars.
