MALIBU, Calif. — Pepperdine women's golf head coach Laurie Gibbs has announced the full 2026-27 schedule for the Waves.
The slate features four tournaments in the fall, followed by four regular season tournaments in the spring leading into the WCC Championship, NCAA Regionals and NCAA Championship.Â
"Our 2026-27 schedule gives the players the opportunity to compete against the top teams in the country multiple times," said head coach Laurie Gibbs. "The golf courses are some of the more difficult in college golf and will help prepare the team for the postseason. We have a strong group of returning players, will add two players that will contribute immediately and welcome Kayla to the program as our new assistant coach. The Waves are excited for the start of the new season!"
The Waves will open up the fall campaign at the Branch Law Firm / McGuire Invitational, hosted by the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque from Sept. 14-15. It will mark Pepperdine's 22nd appearance in the tournament and first since the fall 2024. The Waves have won the tournament on four occasions, most recently in 2023.
Pepperdine will then play in the Golfweek Red Sky Classic (Sept. 21-23) for the 17th straight season from Red Sky Golf Club in Wolcott, Colo. The Waves have placed top-two in four straight seasons at the event, and have secured five tournament victories at the course since 2012.
The Waves will then take part in the Haskins Women's Intercollegiate on Oct. 12-13, hosted by the Haskins Foundation. The tournament will take place at Country Club of Columbus in Columbus, Ga.
The fall slate will conclude with the Stanford Intercollegiate from Oct. 16-18 in Palo Alto, Calif. The Waves placed fourth among 19 teams this past fall in the event, before posting a runner-up finish in the spring at Stanford Golf Course in the NCAA Regionals.
The spring season will kick off Jan. 31-Feb. 2, as the Waves will travel to Palos Verdes, Calif., for the Therese Hession Regional Challenge hosted by Ohio State University. It marks the seventh straight appearance for the Waves in the tournament and 24th overall, who are three-time champions at the event.
The Waves will then play co-host to the Bruin Wave Invitational with UCLA, taking place Feb. 22-23 from Valencia Country Club in Valencia, Calif. The field will include reigning national champion No. 1 Stanford and national runner-up No. 2 USC.
Pepperdine will play in the GameAbove Invitational from Mar. 15-16 in Los Angeles. The two-day tournament will be co-hosted by USC and Eastern Michigan.
The final regular season tournament will take place from Mar. 22-23 at the Silicon Valley Showcase in Millbrae, Calif. Played at Green Hills Country Club and hosted by Santa Clara, the Waves have won the tournament in all three of its all-time appearances (2023-25).
Postseason play begins with the West Coast Conference Championship, set for April 23-25 at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course in Portland, Ore. The Waves will look to defend their conference title from the 2025-26 campaign.
The NCAA Regionals are set for May 10-12, ahead of the NCAA Championships from May 16-21. The NCAA Championships will return to Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
The Waves are coming off a T-5th finish at the NCAA Championships in 2026, advancing to the match play portion of competition for the second time in four seasons.
