Women’s Basketball Secure Second Round Bye in Conference Tournament

MALIBU, Calif.  – Pepperdine women's basketball (19-11, 10-8 WCC) will play in the third round of the West Coast Conference Championship, skipping over the first two rounds for the first time since the 2019-2020 season.

Finishing the regular season 19-11, it is the Waves' most wins since the 2018-19 season. The same season is the last time Pepperdine has gone to any form of postseason after the WCC tournament, advancing to the round of 16 in the WNIT. Seeded sixth in the tournament, it is a four-spot jump from last season. Ending the 2024-25 season at 283 in the NET rankings, Pepperdine currently sits at 119, an improvement that lands them top five in the nation from season to season.

The Waves will learn their opponent Friday afternoon, with the options of San Francisco, Saint Mary's or San Diego. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. in the Orleans Arena. Tickets for Saturday's game can be purchased here. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ (subscription required) with live stats available at www.pepperdinewaves.com
