MALIBU, Calif. — Pepperdine men's basketball (6-14, 1-6 WCC) returns for a two-game road trip beginning Wednesday at No. 8 Gonzaga (19-1, 7-0 WCC) at 6 p.m. before a matchup at Washington State (8-12, 3-4 WCC) Saturday at 3 p.m.

Both games can be streamed live on ESPN+ as the Waves look for their first road conference win of the season.

The trip will mark the Waves' final conference road trip to Spokane and Pullman, with both programs set to leave the WCC for the PAC-12 beginning next season.

LAST TIME OUT

• Pepperdine earned a 67-63 victory over Portland at home this past Wednesday.
• Aaron Clark posted a game-high 18 points while securing a career-high eight rebounds and dishing out a team-high four assists.
• Styles Phipps scored 16 points to go along with six rebounds and a season-high four steals.
• Pepperdine ended the game on an 18-9 run over the final 6:24 of action.
• The Waves shot 45.3% from the field, the highest clip in a WCC contest this season.

GAME NOTES

• The Waves are one of two teams in the West Coast Conference to have four players averaging 10.5 points per game or more (Aaron Clark, Javon Cooley, Styles Phipps, Danilo Dozic).
• Seven players have finished as the leading scorer in a game for Pepperdine this season, the most in the WCC, with only six teams in the country having more.
• The team had its most efficient shooting effort of the conference slate last time out against Portland, shooting .453 from the field.
• Pepperdine currently ranks fifth in the WCC and 57th in the country in free throw percentage at .758.
• Styles Phipps is one of three players in the country averaging over 12.5 points, six rebounds and 4.5 assists per game (Joshua Jefferson, Iowa State & Quion Williams, Arkansas-Pine Bluff).
• Phipps is currently fourth in the WCC in assists per game at 4.8.
• Phipps is the only player in the WCC to have both a points/rebounds double-double and a points/assists double-double this season.
• Phipps ranks 8th in the conference with 6.4 rebounds per game, as the Pepperdine point guard has also corralled 39 offensive rebounds through 19 games this campaign (2.0 per game).
• Phipps has scored 14-plus points in four straight efforts, leading the Waves with 12.7 points per game in conference play.
• Javon Cooley comes in as the Waves second-leading scorer at 12.3 points per game while being second on the squad with 4.9 rebounds per game.
• Cooley and Phipps each rank within the top-25 of the conference in both scoring and rebounding.
• Cooley ranks sixth in the WCC and 55th in the nation in free throw percentage (.881), and had a streak of 44 consecutive made free throws this season, snapped at Long Beach State.
• Aaron Clark is one of three Waves averaging over 12 points per game this season.
• Clark currently ranks seventh in the WCC with 1.6 steals per game on the season.
• Clark is one of four players in the WCC to be averaging at least 12 points per game, three rebounds per game and 1.5 steals per game

• Gonzaga boasts the top offense in the WCC at 90.2 points per game, which ranks 14th in the nation.
• The Bulldogs duo of Graham Ike and Braden Huff have combined for 35.9 points per game this season, with both missing out in the Bulldogs most recent game due to injury.
• Gonzaga shoots 36.8% from three (second in the WCC) while opponents connect on just a 29.6% clip from deep, the top mark in the conference.
• Washington State enters play with a 3-4 mark in the conference, having lost three straight contests in the WCC.
• The Cougars were selected sixth in the WCC Preseason Poll.
• The Cougars are led by Ace Glass III who ranks sixth in the conference in scoring at 16.9 points per game.
• Washington State ranks last in the conference in opponent field-goal percentage, allowing a 46.1% clip while shooting in the top-five in the conference at 46.6%.
