MALIBU, Calif. – The eighth-ranked Pepperdine men's volleyball team rolled to a straight-set sweep over Jessup on Friday afternoon, earning a 25-20, 25-16, 25-14 victory in non-conference action.
The Waves improved to 17-7 overall with the win, while the Warriors fell to 11-9 on the season. Friday also celebrated Admitted Waves Day with high school seniors and their families on campus.

After taking the opening set 25-20 behind Barnett's six kills, the Waves controlled the second frame 25-16, capitalizing on Jessup's nine attack errors and strong serving from senior
Brendan Read who finished with two aces and seven digs.
In the third, the Waves built a 12-7 lead and never looked back, using kills from Barnett and Hartke along with Read's service pressure to close out the match 25-14.
Whidden added six kills while hitting .667 with four blocks. Pepperdine out-hit Jessup .439 to .151 and held the Warriors to a .040 and .050 hitting percentage in the final two sets.
