MALIBU, Calif. — Twelve members of the Pepperdine women's indoor track program earned spots on the 2025 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic Team, as announced by the league on Thursday.
To earn this award, athletes must compete in at least 50% of the team's scheduled meets, have at least a 3.00 grade point average, be at least a sophomore academically and complete one full academic year at their current institution.
The Waves who earned MPSF All-Academic awards were as follows: Hannah Bruner, Lizzy Crawford, Ashley Eagan, Caroline Graham, Jessica Guardino, Hannah Miller, Eden Mittelsdorf, Maddy Ortman, Jenna Parsio, Isabella Reyes, Lauren Rocco and Avery Smith. Of that group, sophomore Lizzy Crawford maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average while majoring in political science.
Pepperdine's 12 all-academic award winners also contributed to the team's success on the track. Graham, another political science major, broke the program's six-year-old 800-meter record, while fellow distance teammate Bruner broke the indoor mile record at the MPSF Championships. Crawford broke the indoor school records in the 3,000- and 5,000-meter runs as well.
In the relays, Graham, Eagan and Bruner broke the school record in the distance medley relay, plus Ortman, Reyes and Rivas set the school record in the 4x400-meter relay.
This season, the Waves broke seven school records and earned its first-ever points at the MPSF Indoor Track and Field Championships to place 12th out of 13 teams.
