Barry would come into the game and pause the Mustang scoring as the Waves got the opportunity to tie the game up. Cook dropped a single in center to give Pepperdine a base runner. With two outs, Cardinale crushed the ball over the left field wall to tie the game at 2-2 at the end of the fifth inning.
