QUOTABLES
"I believe the Waves had another solid showing tonight," head coach
Ellie Monobe said. "This morning, we had some pretty stellar swims to get the momentum rolling, and tonight we executed again at the level that we were hoping for. I think we put ourselves in a very good position for the rest of the weekend. Standouts from today include
Alexandra Browne breaking the school record in the 50 free. It was always very nice to see our 200 free relay squad's performance. We've kind of had to rebuild that relay this year, so it was nice to see the hard work of the sprint group pay off. I also think that the 500 group with Ansley and
Lindsay Hemming putting themselves in a position to get the job done, and swimming with less fear has been the difference maker in that group. We're looking forward to another solid morning tomorrow. We've talked a lot about getting things done in the morning and then the night will take care of itself, so we're looking forward to another fast morning."
"I am very proud of our finishes this first day of diving," diving coach
Monique Demaisip said. "With everything our team has been through this year, it is a blessing to have gotten to this point in the season. The development of each of our divers on 3-meter especially has been quite impressive. I am excited to watch our Waves continue with this momentum into our upcoming events!"
