MALIBU, Calif. – Pepperdine women's soccer (9-4-1, 6-0 WCC) heads down PCH to take on the Lions of LMU (5-5-2, 2-3-1 WCC) Wednesday night at Sullivan Field.

- The Waves had a come-from-behind win in San Diego, scoring the match-winning goal in the 85th minute to secure a 2-1 victory.
- Julia Quinonez scored her ninth goal of the season Friday to equalize.
- Peyton Leonard scored her fourth of the year and second match-winning goal in the 85th minute.

- Pepperdine leads the conference with 36 goals scored by 14 different players.
- Quinonez leads the squad with nine goals, while Wynalda leads the team and conference with eight assists.
- Ariana Markey, Alex Pendleton, Layla Simon, Sarah Spears and Lily Stewart have all scored their first collegiate goals this season.
- Through 14 matches, Julia Quinonez leads the team in points with 21, scoring nine goals and notching three assists.
- Surpassing her stats from two seasons ago where she was the WCC Freshman of the Year, Quinonez is first in the WCC in both goals and points, with nine goals and 21 points.
- As one of the captains leading the team through 14 matches, Kyra Murphy cemented her name in the record books with five straight matches with a goal or assist (9/7 - 10/4), tying for third in program history.
- With 19 starts and six goals throughout her collegiate career entering this season, Murphy has over doubled her career points, with 13 so far this season.
- Tatum Wynalda sits at ninth in the nation for shot accuracy with a .633 on-goal shot percentage.
- Leading the team with eight assists, Wynalda has had a hand in one-third of the Waves goals this season with four herself.
- Wynalda is tied with Tabitha LaParl to lead Pepperdine with two match-winning goals, both coming in conference matchups against Seattle and Pacific.
- Wynalda becomes just the 13th Wave in history to have two or more multi-assist games in a single season after the two at San Diego, currently just one match behind the top spot of three matches.
- Starting in every game, Jillian Medvecky has collected 60 saves this season with seven shutouts, averaging just over four saves a match.
- Last week, Medvecky earned her first conference honor with WCC Defensive Player of the Week, also earning an honorable mention on Top Drawer Soccer's team of the week.
SERIES HISTORY
- In 32 matches with LMU, Pepperdine holds the advantage 18-9-5, including 9-4-4 on the road.
- Last season, the Waves sole conference loss came 0-3 to the Lions in Malibu.
- The Waves last time at Sullivan Field in 2023 resulted in a 3-0 shutout victory.
- Pepperdine has not lost in back-to-back years against LMU since 2015-16, both ending in 0-1 deficits.
