MALIBU – Head coach
Ed Schilling announced the signing of incoming freshman
Danilo Dozic on Tuesday morning.
"Danilo emerged as one of the top European prospects this past season as he averaged almost 12 points a game to go with over 4 rebounds per game in the French U21 A Division," Schilling said. "Additionally, he led his French team to win the French U21 A Division championship. Danilo's international experience gained while playing on the Serbian National Team over the years will serve him very well as he transitions into the WCC. We are thrilled to have Danilo at Pepperdine."

Dozic comes to Malibu after playing for 2024 EuroCup runners-up JL Bourg's U21 team- the same club that was home to this year's first overall NBA draft selection Zaccharie Risacher. While with Bourg U21, the 6-foot-10 Serbian averaged 11.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and gathered season-highs of 29 points and 10 boards through 2023-24. Dozic's efforts helped his team to an LNB's Betclic Elite U21 – Trophee du Futur U21 league championship. Prior to his time with Bourg, the forward won the Adidas Next Generation EuroLeague Tournament with U18 Mega MIL Belgrade in 2023.
"Pepperdine's academic and athletic programs convinced me that this is the right place to continue my career," Dozic said.
"Alongside the experienced and dedicated coaching staff, great facility and one-of-a-kind campus, I am also looking forward to playing against Division I competition. Besides contributing to the team on court, I also look forward to meeting new people off court on campus and in classes."
In addition to playing for Bourg U21, Dozic also played for the Serbian national teams' under 15-19 rosters, winning national championships with each.
