MALIBU, Calif. — Pepperdine men's basketball head coach Griff Aldrich has announced the addition of junior forward Petar Majstorovic from Long Beach State, set to join the Waves for the 2026-27 campaign.
Majstorovic is a 6-8 forward originally from Sombor, Serbia, who played this past season at Long Beach State after starting his collegiate career at Syracuse in 2024-25.
"Petar is an outstanding fit for both Pepperdine University and our basketball program," said head coach Griff Aldrich. "A fine young man with values that match our institution, Petar is a talented player that brings a tremendous amount of versatility to our team. His scoring, passing and rebounding ability - along with his toughness and fierce work ethic - will immediately help build a winning culture here at Pepperdine."
Majstorovic earned All-Big West Honorable Mention following the 2025-26 season with the Beach. He was the team's second leading scorer with 14.4 points per game and leading rebounder at 6.4 boards per contest.
He ranked top-15 in the Big West in both scoring and rebounding, while being sixth in the conference in total steals with 54. Majstorovic scored in double figures in 23 games featuring nine efforts with 20+ points. He posted a career-best 25 points against Cal Poly in January, which also marked one of his three double-doubles on the season.
During his freshman season at Syracuse (2024-25), Majstorovic appeared in 31 games for the Orange, averaging 2.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per game on .484 shooting from the field.
Prior to his collegiate career, Majstorovic spent three seasons in France, spending his final international campaign in the French ProA U-21 League. In 2023-24 with Lyon-Villeurbanne U-21, he posted 9.7 points and 7.0 boards per game on .624 from the field.
