Franson Last Chance Meet Continues Tomorrow

AZUSA, Calif. — The Pepperdine track team goes into the final day of the Franson Last Chance meet at Azusa Pacific University tomorrow.

The meet will not be live-streamed but live result links can be found on the track team's schedule page at pepperdinewaves.com.

Coming off a day of setting six PRs, the Waves look to continue the streak to close out the season.

Kicking the day off tomorrow will be the 200-meter dash. Kaley Peterson leads the four women participants with a 24.86 seconds, currently the fourth-fastest time in school history. Will Watkins will represent the men, looking to improve on his time of 22.13 seconds, the second-fastest in the Waves record books.

The final event of the weekend for the Waves will be the 1,500-meter run. Winter leads the eight women who will be running the event with a 4:41.92 this year, followed closely by Shrader with a 4:45.95. For the men, Gordy Nilsen owns two of the top-five fastest times of the season with his personal best being a 3:57.41. Ryan Hemphill will be making his season debut in the event.
