NAPA, Calif. – Play at the Silverado Showdown closed up on Wednesday afternoon, ending with the #17 Pepperdine women's golf team finishing tied for fifth out of 16 teams at the par-72, 6,146-yard Silverado Resort and Spa.

Jeneath Wong led the Waves, tying for 13
th to end the tournament. She was only two shots out of the top-eight.Â
Lauren Gomez picked up the best round of the day with an even 72, finishing up tied for 23
rd. San Jose State's Kalsa Arwefjall and USC's Catherine Park won the tournament with 7-under 209 performances.

Pepperdine bested #8 Texas by a stroke, #4 UCLA by two strokes and tournament co-host #16 Oregon by five strokes. Â #9 USC and #11 Northwestern ended as co-champions after posting team scores of 4-over 868. #14 Arizona (+11) and #27 San Jose State (+13) rounded out the top four.

- Sophomore Jeneath Wong (Melbourne, Australia) finished tied for 13th with a 218 (72-73-73). She tallied eight birdies, including two on the back nine today to finish the tournament.
- Junior Lauren Gomez (Murrieta, Calif.) marked a 220 (74-74-72) to finish tied for 23rd. She had a pair of birdies on the front nine today, but finished strong with a 2-under through her final 10 bogeyless holes. She amassed five birdies throughout the tournament, while tying for the tournament-high of shooting even par on 41 holes.
- Senior Kaleiya Romero (San Jose, Calif.) finished tied for 43rd with a 224 (69-75-80). She had a solid open to the tournament with a 3-under 69. In the round today, she tabbed a pair of birdies on back-to-back holes – the 14th and 15th – and amassed eight birdies overall.
- Senior Lion Higo (Gold Coast, Australia) shot a 225 (72-78-75) to finish tied for 48th. She produced seven birdies overall, including a pair on holes 14 and 15 today.
- Sophomore Yingzhi Zhu (Nanjing, China) finished with a 227 (74-76-77) to tie for 57th overall. She tabbed six birdies, two on each day including the final round.
