LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Pepperdine's men's and women's track team set a school record, ran 12 new top-10 times and picked up first-place finishes at the Occidental Distance Carnival & Spring Break Classic this past weekend.

Brendan Fong's school-record-breaking 10.99-second time in the 100-meter dash highlighted the day, shattering Jaad Abduljawad's previous record of 11.11 seconds. Fong not only is the first Wave to run sub-11 seconds in the event, but also is the school's record holder in all three sprint events.
Â
Fong, Spencer Mueller, Ryan Hemphill and Will Watkins also ran the second-fastest 4x400-meter relay time in school history with a 3:22.22, which won the meet.
