MALIBU, Calif. — Head Coach Jonathan Winder and the Pepperdine men's volleyball team's coaching staff announced the addition of Grant Lamoureux who will join the Waves' 2025 roster.
From Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Lamoureux will have graduated from West Forsyth High School and will join Pepperdine after serving as the captain for the U19 National Indoor Team this summer at the Norceca Continental Championship. After helping Team USA capture a gold medal at the games, Lamoureux was awarded Best Spiker at the Norceca Championship. He played for Triad United Volleyball Academy for seven years, becoming a two-time AAU All-American and three-time JVA All-American. In the sand, Lamoureux placed ninth at the 2024 Beach U19 World Championships and earned a North Carolina State Championship title during his sophomore year.
"We are thrilled to have Grant enroll early at Pepperdine and begin the next step of his promising career in volleyball with us. Grant is a great fit for us here at Pepperdine with his strong faith, elite volleyball talent, and high character," said Head Coach Jonathan Winder. "He is a uniquely talented player with his ability to block and attack with the best players in the world and having ball control at his length is quite rare. He's an outstanding beach volleyball player as well, which we know he will get lots of opportunities for that here in Malibu! Grant's addition to our team is great for this upcoming 2025 season as well as for the future of our program."
