HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Pepperdine women's beach volleyball program finished day two of the AVCA Fall Pairs Championship today. Emma Eden and McKenna Thomas highlighted the day with a straight set win over Stetson in their second match on Saturday.

MATCH RECAPS

CLERMONT/ORISKOVICH
In the round of 32, senior Kate Clermont (Burlington, Ontario, Canada) and senior Madison Oriskovich (Santa Barbara, Calif.) fell to the #4 overall seed Isabella Martinez and Logan Walter out of Cal Poly in straight sets.

Moving to the consolation bracket, the Pepperdine pair dropped their match against Gella Andrew and Myriah Massey out of Florida State in two sets, 21-13, 23-21.

EDEN/THOMAS
In the consolation bracket, freshman Emma Eden (Albuquerque, N.M) and senior McKenna Thomas (Laguna Niguel) dropped their contest to the pair of Kristin Bobay and Millie Olsson out of TAMU-CC 21-19, 21-13.

In their second match of the day, the Pepperdine duo bounced back and defeated the Stetson pair of Julia Czurylo and Hanna Gubik 21-16, 21-18.

UP NEXT

Eden and Thomas are set to play against the duo of Bailey Showalter and Kaylee Young from USC, while Clermont and Oriskovich are slated to compete against Ava Anderson and Addison Wolden out of Boise State in consolation matches.
